Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program – Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology Accredited By ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)

After 3 years of building and operating the study programmes placed under the AUN-QA’s assessment at program level. The Automotive Engineering Technology Program of Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology was evaluated by AUN-QA organization in the 154th AUN-QA quality assessment at programme level during 6-8 August 2019.
In the afternoon of 19 November 2019, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) solemnly hosted AUN-QA Certificate Award Ceremony for the four study programmes in the 154th AUN-QA Programme Assessment. All four programmes, including Automotive Engineering Technology programme, Business Administration programme, Accounting programme, and English Language programme was certified by the AUN-QA programme framework in the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day celebration ceremony on 20 November 2019.
In AUN-QA Certificate Award Ceremony, it’s pleasure to have the attendance of distinguished guests: Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin on behalf of the AUN-QA organization, national and international stakeholders, Ministry of Industry and Trade representative, Ministry of Education and Training representative, representatives from center and local agencies and organizations together with former university leaders, university partners, all teaching and administrative staff, alumni of IUH, and many newspaper reporters.
In the ceremony, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue – IUH’s Rector highlighted the meaning, importance and position of study programmes assessed under the AUN’s quality assessment following the AUN-QA standards. As a result, students trained in study programes accredited by AUN-QA standards will have more job opportunities in the whole ASEAN labour market. This is one of the orientation goals in internationalization, global integration and enhancing the international position of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, on behalf of the AUN-QA Network, excited announced and congratulated on the successful accreditation of Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City achieved as expected outcomes following the AUN-QA framework in the 154th AUN-QA Programme Assessment. In this formal event, Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin on behalf of the AUN-QA Network awarded the AUN-QA certificates for Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program and congratulated the leaders, staff and students of – Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology on achieving international study program. Especially, Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin sent best wishes for all the teachers and students’s faculty in the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day celebration ceremony on 20 November 2019.

Dr. Mai Van Trinh – Head of Viet Nam Quality control Department under the Ministry of Education and Training congratulated IUH on having eight study programmes accredited by the AUN-QA programme framework. He also announced and highlighted that “At the moment, IUH is the first one in the institution systems under the MoIT having eight study programmes certified under the AUN-QA programme framework. This fruitful achievement expresses the university commitment on education quality assurance, quality enhancement, meeting the need for high-quality manpower and global integration”

The successful accreditation of the Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program is such the big pride of all lecturers and students of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology. This assessment result affirmed the appropriate development orientation; simultaneously, it also marked a turning point and recognize constant efforts of IUH’s leaders, staff and students. Besides, thanks for this achievement, all of students in the Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program will have opportunities to enhance international competitive position and integrate into the globe.

That Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program accredited represented an important milestone in orientation and training mission for the Faculty at the current time as well as in the future. Meanwhile, it set ambitious requirements for the concentration, great efforts towards all leaders, staff and students in the next time and in the future in order to sustain, develop and enhance the achievements accredited.
